Author of nine books of poetry, including: Spare Change (1997), which was the La Jolla Poets Press National Book Award winner; Ready to Eat the Sky (2004); In the Eyes of a Dog (2009), which won the New York Book Festival Award; and The Unemployed Man Who Became a Tree (2011), which was a Milt Kessler Poetry Book Award finalist. Poems have appeared in numerous magazines, including: The Harvard Review, Poetry, Ploughshares, Boston Review, Columbia, North American Review.
