Our mission in Student Life is to collaborate with students, staff, and faculty to create welcoming, supportive, and challenging communities that maximize opportunities for student learning and engagement.

Residential Life 

More than 85 percent of Sarah Lawrence students live on campus in our wide range of residence halls. From traditional-style dorms to rooms tucked away in stately mansions, ever space encourages community gatherings and provides spaces for both living and learning.

Dining 

Sarah Lawrence dining options include a variety of cuisine, from organic foods to Mexican fare.Food service provider AVI Fresh manages all on-campus dining, vending, and catering. The on-campus dining venues are: The Barbara Walters Campus Center Dining Pavilion & Cafe and Bates Dining

Student Involvement & Leadership 

Join a club—or start your own. Go to a concert—or perform yourself. Theatre shows, poetry slams, science fairs, student senate, late-night dances, early-morning workouts, community service, internships, volunteer opportunities, competitive sports...the campus is alive with student activities.

Spiritual Life 

Spiritual Life supports the religious, spiritual and moral well-being of all students. Spiritual Life provides one-on-one guidance, programming, and support for religious and spiritual expression.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging 

The Office of Student Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging collaborates with the Diversity Advisory and Programming Subcommittee (DAPS) of the Student Life Committee, as well as with student organizations to create events that encourage dialogue across difference and exploration of issues related to diversity, social identity, equity, and lived experience.

International Student Services 

International Student Services provide a range of support to international undergraduate and graduate students (non-US citizens, dual citizens, and US citizens from abroad). The office is available to help with any issues international student may have including acclimation to living in New York, and staying informed about important immigration information.

Health and Wellness 

The Sarah Lawrence College Health & Wellness Center is based on a holistic, integrated model of care. The Health and Wellness Center is comprised of Medical and Counseling and Psychological services in one location. Within this model we promote optimum physical, emotional, intellectual, and social well-being through education, preventative and episodic care within the scope of a college health center.

Campus Safety 

Sarah Lawrence College is committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all members of the campus community. The Office of Public Safety & Security employs a team of professionals and an array of security measures aimed at protecting the wellbeing of everyone at Sarah Lawrence.
