Meet with your career advisers to learn how they can support you on how to get started. It's never too early to start exploring!

Career Services offers:

  • One-on-one counseling appointments
  • Access to internship and job databases
  • Career exploration and planning programs
  • Resume, job search, and interview preparation services
  • Site visits to employers such as HBO, Planned Parenthood, and HarperCollins
  • Networking opportunities
  • All appointments must be requested through Handshake, our online career services portal. To log in for the first time, visit sarahlawrence.joinhandshake.com and enter your gm.slc.edu e-mail address. You'll receive a message in your inbox with instructions to set your password.

Career Communities

Career Communities connect students with peers, faculty, and alumni professionals who share an interest or expertise in a particular industry. Each Career Community is led by a career adviser and provides an opportunity to connect to specific, tailored industry resources and programs.

Skills Accelerator Series

The Skills Accelerator Series helps students complement their Sarah Lawrence education with practical, career-ready skills. Offered in partnership with Aesop Academy, courses include Excel Basics, Excel Intermediate, Using AI for Everyday Analyst Functions, and Project Management. Led by Panos Panidis, each session blends live instruction, hands-on practice, and teamwork to strengthen both technical and professional skills. Internships for All

Research shows that students who participate in internships and other supervised work experiences are better prepared for life after college. Our Internships for All program supports all students in pursuing at least one experiential learning opportunity, helping to ensure that they graduate not only with a powerful liberal arts education but also with real-world experience, professional skills, and a clear path to a career.
