Assistant Vice President and Dean of Student Life
Abigayle Young, M.A.P.P. (she/her/hers)
In her role as AVP and Dean of Student Life, Abbie oversees the Offices of Residential Life; Student Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging; Student Involvement and Leadership; and International Student Support and Belonging. Her work is centered around enhancing the well-being of students through both the individual and collaborative work of the offices she oversees. She also manages the Office of Residential Life directly, with a focus on Residential Education. Abbie has enjoyed working with young adults in a variety of settings, most notably as a coach with the Under-19 National Rowing Teams, and has a master's degree in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
Senior Resident Fellow
Kyla Hunter (she/her)
As a Senior Resident Fellow, Kyla specializes in designing Residential Education curricula and programs within the Office of Residential Life. Her enthusiasm for Residential Education was sparked during her two-year tenure as a Residential Advisor at the New College of Florida, where she successfully built a living and learning community focused on supporting the performing arts while earning her Bachelor of Arts degree. In her current role, Kyla plays a pivotal role in supporting Resident Fellows in their supervisory capacities over Resident Advisors. She also serves as a bridge between various campus offices, fostering a seamless and comprehensive residential experience. Through intentional programming, educational initiatives, and mentorship, Kyla is dedicated to cultivating a sense of community while empowering residents in their own personal and professional growth.

Sofia Lombardi (she/her)
Sofia, in her capacity as a Senior Resident Fellow, is dedicated to bolstering student leadership, streamlining conduct processes, and crafting programs aimed at enhancing student well-being. Her passion for higher education was ignited during her tenure as student body president at New College of Florida, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree. At Sarah Lawrence, Sofia assumes a pivotal role by advising class presidents, providing support to the Student Senate, and spearheading initiatives to enhance the conduct process—all through a lens of holistic well-being.
Resident Fellow
Leah Cohen (she/her/they/them)
Leah Cohen is the Resident Fellow that oversees Mead Way and the Old Dorms, including MacCracken, Dudley Lawrence, Titsworth, and OSilas. Leah supervises the Resident Advisors of the area to work on programming and residential support. Leah also works within the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership to support the student-run spaces on campus. Leah has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the State University of New York at New Paltz.

Alexa Lyons (she/her)
Alexa Lyons is the Resident Fellow for Hill House. Alexa supervises the Hill House RA staff and works with all residents on programming and student support. In Residential Life, Alexa also works on residential education and student conduct initiatives. Alexa holds a bachelor's degree in Educational Studies and Drama from Vassar College and a master's degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Boston College.

Lainie Cadieux
Lainie is a recent graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and specialized in neuropsychology and positive psychology. Lainie assumes a multifaceted role within Residential Life as a Resident Fellow, focusing on student well-being, Residential Education, and managing social media channels. In this capacity, she is dedicated to fostering positive relationships and creating innovative opportunities for students to enhance their sense of belonging. Lainie is committed to cultivating environments that support personal growth, academic success, and leadership development. In her role as a supervisor to Resident Advisors, she guides them in developing and implementing effective learning strategies within the residential environment. Drawing upon her leadership skills, athletic drive, and unwavering dedication to her alma mater, Lainie is eager to actively shape and improve the residential life experience for students on campus.
