We encourage alumni to stay connected to the Sarah Lawrence College community. The Office of Career Services offers a variety of ways for alumni to continue their involvement by sharing internship and job opportunities, providing career advice and participating in programs and networking events.

Get Involved

Share an Internship or Entry Level Job

Career Services uses Handshake, an online database, to share internships and entry-level jobs with students and recent graduates. It is free to create an account and post opportunities. Please note that the College is not responsible for any student’s compliance with an employer’s own COVID-19 related policies. The student is responsible for their own compliance with your [employer] specific requirements and policies.

Step 1: Clink on this link to create your user account: Handshake

Step 2:  Connect to your company profile if they are already on Handshake. Your company profile should pull up based on the domain of your email address if it is already in Handshake. If it isn’t, you will see the option to create a new company profile.

Step 3: Request to connect with schools. Make sure you check Sarah Lawrence College.  You will then receive an email from us “approving” you to post with us. 

Step 4:  You will now be able to post internships and jobs.

If you have a job opening suitable for more seasoned alumni, please log-in or create an account on SLC Connect. If you have questions about this process, please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at alum@sarahlawrence.edu.  

Put us in touch with your HR department

If you are not in charge of hiring, we would be more than happy to speak directly with the appropriate person or department within your company.

Participate as a professional in career events

Consider sharing your expertise with students by conducting informational interviews, participating in Resume Review and/or Mock Interview Days, speaking on an industry panel, attending on-campus internship/career fairs, and/or hosting an employer site visit. You can indicate your interest in these volunteer opportunities & more when you sign up for SLC Connect.

Join a Career Community and give career advice to current students

SLC Connect is a way to stay connected with alumni, faculty and current students. This online platform shares career resources, discussion boards, and job opportunities for the SLC community. We encourage you to join the Career Community group that aligns with your interests. For more information, contact the Office of Alumni Relations at alum@sarahlawrence.edu.

Donate to the Internship Travel Stipend

Help students receiving need-based financial aid commute to their unpaid internships by donating to this initiative. For more information, contact Angela Cherubini, Director of Career Services at acherubini@sarahlawrence.edu

Recent Graduates

The Career Services team provides in-person, phone and email consultations to current students and recent graduates up to two years out. To make an appointment, visit Handshake. To log in for the first time, visit sarahlawrence.joinhandshake.com, and enter your Sarah Lawrence e-mail address. You'll receive a message in your inbox with instructions to set your password. If you have trouble logging in or need help with navigating the site, please e-mail careerservices@sarahlawrence.edu.
