Become an Active "Career Development" Parent/Family Member
We encourage all parents and family members of the Sarah Lawrence community to become involved with the Office of Career Services. There are a number of ways you can get involved:
Host an intern or post a job
If you have an internship or job opening suitable for a recent or upcoming Sarah Lawrence graduate, e-mail the description to the Office of Career Services or submit it using Handshake. If you have questions about this process, click here for FAQs or contact Jennifer Perez, Associate Director.
Put us in touch with your HR department
If you are not in charge of hiring, we would be more than happy to speak directly with the appropriate person or department within your company.
Donate to the Internship Travel Stipend
Help students who are working at unpaid internships commute to their internship site by donating to this initiative. Please contact Dylan Pyne or Emily Barry in The Fund for Sarah Lawrence for more information or to donate.
Participate as a professional in career events
Consider sharing your expertise with Sarah Lawrence students by offering job shadowing visits, conducting informational and/or mock interviews, speaking on a career planning panel, presenting an information session about your industry, or initiating a new opportunity that’s unique to your company or organization.
Give career advice to a student
Let us put you in touch with students for specific career advice. Many students have benefited from speaking with parents that are in a field of their interest. Contact Jennifer Perez and ask to be put on the advice list!
