Sarah Lawrence alumni returned “home” to campus from June 6-9 for Reunion 2024, an event open to all alumni with a special focus on class years ending in 4 and 9. Over the course of a sunny and beautiful weekend, alums took a stroll down memory lane—literally—with tours of campus, and had ample opportunities to relive their student days by taking part in seminars, workshops, an alumni art exhibit in Heimbold, and traditions such as Cabaret, Midnight Breakfast, and a screening of The Princess Bride. In between, they had the chance to reconnect and socialize throughout the weekend at brunches, lunches, dinners, and cocktail hours.
Dr. Nancy Cantor ’74, who will begin her tenure as president of Hunter College in August, joined President Cristle Collins Judd for a discussion of the state of higher education. As is tradition, President Judd delivered a “Year in Review” presentation, reflecting on the 2023-24 academic year, and a Service of Remembrance honored alumni, faculty, staff, and trustees of Sarah Lawrence who passed away in the last year.
During the Annual Meeting of the Alumni Association, led by association president Leigh Heyman '98, Joanne Furio ’84, Lynn Gilbert ’59, and Jen Simonds ’89 were honored with the Citation Award for Achievement, and Nancy Montgomery ’64 and Nancie Schnur ’74 were honored with the Citation Award for Service to the College.
Thanks to all who joined us, thanks to all who worked to make the weekend possible, and see you at Reunion 2025!
