The Asian Cultural Council (ACC) has awarded Misha Bernas MS ’25 a 2024 Graduate Fellowship. These fellowships are awarded to international students attending graduate school in the United States and focus in particular on students attending programs not available in their home country. Bernas, who hails from the Philippines, will enter her second year in SLC’s Dance/Movement Therapy master’s program this fall; her ACC grant aims to support her work as she trains to create more inclusive approaches to dance and movement. Bernas has also been awarded a scholarship from the Marian Chace Foundation of the American Dance Therapy Association; the scholarship is given to students in their second year of a graduate dance/movement therapy program who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement.
