It’s easy to find your people at SLC! And on Saturday, September 9, it got even easier, as the Student Involvement & Leadership team held the first Student Organization Fair of the new academic year. More than 65 student-run groups were on hand in the Barbara Walters Campus Center, sharing details of their organizations, interests, and opportunities with students eager to join their ranks. This year, students looking to get involved and meet like-minded friends have more than 70 clubs and organizations to choose from. And in the off chance they didn’t see something that piqued their interest at the fair? Well, they can think about starting a new organization of their own!
Students who missed this fair will get another shot at browsing potential hobbies at a second Student Organization Fair in October. And for those still uncertain about what they might like to do, the Student Involvement & Leadership staff, headed up by director Valerie Romanello, offers one-on-one involvement coaching sessions.
