Nearly 700 Sarah Lawrence alumni returned to campus from June 9-12 for Reunion 2022, a particularly joyous occasion after the iconic annual event was derailed for two years due to the pandemic. Open to all alumni, this year’s Reunion was a milestone for those with class years ending in 2 and 7. Alumni with class years ending in 0, 1, 5, and 6—those who missed out on a proper Reunion in 2021 and 2020—were also included in milestone celebrations at this year’s event. Several events throughout the weekend were held both in-person and online, bringing the Reunion experience to even more alumni around the world.

Alumni in attendance on campus took a stroll down memory lane—literally—with tours of campus held throughout the weekend. For many alumni, this marked the first opportunity to see and experience the Barbara Walters Campus Center and the Remy Theatre, the newest additions to campus that opened in 2019.
Some of the College’s newest alumni enjoyed a special welcome back to campus, with the classes of 2020 and 2021 finally getting to partake in a few traditions that weren’t possible in their senior years, such as a boat cruise and taking photos on campus in their Commencement regalia.
Alumni also had ample opportunities to “relive” their student days, taking part in seminars and workshops, including one that celebrated the work of longtime faculty member Bella Brodzki '72, and traditions such as Cabaret, Midnight Breakfast, and a screening of The Princess Bride. An alumni art exhibition was on display in the Heimbold Visual Arts Center, and historian Dr. Amanda Foreman '91 joined us for a conversation with President Judd on Saturday morning. Alumni had the chance to reconnect and socialize throughout the weekend at lunches, dinners, afternoon teas, and cocktail hours. As is tradition, President Cristle Collins Judd delivered a “Year in Review” presentation, reflecting on the 2021-22 academic year, and a Service of Remembrance honored alumni, faculty, staff, and trustees of Sarah Lawrence who passed away in the last year.
