Every June, writers gather from all over the world to write 1000 words a day together. Founded by Writing Institute friend and New York Times bestselling author Jami Attenberg, #1000WordsofSummer is a community of 40,000 writers of all levels who support each other in writing 1000 words a day for two weeks. This year, it will start on June 1, 2024, and end on June 14, 2024. Learn more about Jami and her online writing community here.
The Writing Institute at Sarah Lawrence College is excited to host our first community write-in to celebrate #1000WordsofSummer! Join us online or in person on June 5th, 2024, at 2 pm EST to write together and share strategies for getting the most out of #1000WordsofSummer and keeping up the momentum on June 15th and beyond.
REGISTER HERE for the event to join us either in person or online. We're excited to write with you this summer!
