2024 New Student and Family Welcome with College Leadership
We are excited to invite you to our virtual New Family Welcome on Wednesday, August 14th, from 6:00-7:30 pm EDT. While students are welcome to attend, our focus in this session is to provide families with a clear understanding of how to best support students as they embark on their journey at Sarah Lawrence College. In this session families will be able to hear directly and engage with:
- Cristle Collins Judd, President
- Kanwal Singh, Provost and Dean of Faculty
- Dave Stanfield, Vice President and Dean of Students
- Nahal Kaivan, First Year Dean
This is an important opportunity to gain insight into supporting your student’s transition and success at Sarah Lawrence. We’ll discuss:
- What to expect in the first-year
- How you can help prepare your students for the Sarah Lawrence experience
- Effective strategies for navigating college life
- The vibrant and supportive Sarah Lawrence community
Attendance is strongly encouraged. We are eager to welcome you to Sarah Lawrence. Families have told us that it is most helpful to schedule this session in the summer rather than trying to fit it in among the activities of move-in and we are excited for this important conversation with you.
