This four-session Zoom workshop, conducted by Richard Lewis and Jeanie Yeo, will explore the origins and role of the imaginative and poetic conversations children bring to their vibrant understandings of the natural world. In addition, participants will be encouraged to create their own such conversations, and the role they play, both, in teaching, and our own understanding towards the evolving expressiveness, that is at the core of nature, and of childhood, itself.
Based on the educational programs of The Touchstone Center for Children, the workshop will be led by the Center's Founder and Director, Richard Lewis - in collaboration with Jeanie Yeo, Teaching Associate, The Touchstone Center, and the Assistant Director of Education Administration, Wildlife Conservation Society.
The series will be limited to 25 participants. The structure of the overall series will consist of four 90-minute Zoom meetings, scheduled from 9:00-10:30 AM, on Saturday mornings from January through April.
Registration Fee: $20.00 for the four sessions.
Sarah Lawrence is an Approved CTLE Sponsor and offers 6 CTLE hours for this program.
This series is being underwritten by The Touchstone Center for Children.
