Paint and Parachute Cloth
This is a youth designed mural, led by Sarah Kolker. Based on the topics chosen by stakeholders at Furness High School of Nature, Diversity and Unity Community, the students in the after school Mural Arts program brainstormed and created designs and color drafts. From the three main topics a new word formed: "PEACE." In this design the white lilies (with accents of colors) are representative of peace within diversity and unity of community. The pattern in the background was originally created as moving through children playing in the park, but was simplified, with the intention to bring nature inside.
