Moore has been painting in oils from her studio in Maine for over 30 years, focusing on natural and industrial vistas as they inform our real landscapes. “We celebrate ideal depictions of our woods, mountains, and coastline, which Maine and the Maritimes are rightly known for, but there are equally intriguing landscapes to recognize around our work and work structures that tell an important truth about our history, our experience, and our choices.” Moore curates exhibits whenever and wherever possible, sometimes in non-traditional spaces. With limited energy and tactile/haptic sensation, her process is slow, but she’s learned that moving slowly by necessity has its own merits, especially now when our collective attention has been monopolized.
