At Sarah Lawrence, I studied painting and print making. I left fine arts due to my political awakening and went healthcare as a Physician Assistant. That work consumed much of my life until recently, but I always made art. More recently my work has become about my emotional and spiritual journey. I made a series of headdresses that I called “My Tribe”, which represented those aspects of myself that I felt had been exiled. Most recently I’ve been working on a series of folk saints and shrines that are imbued with spirit.
