“Your Liberal Arts Connections: A Pre-professional Conference” returned for its sixth year on Saturday, November 11. The Offices of Career Services and Alumni Relations and the Alumni Association Board of Directors collaborate to create this one-day event that helps prepare seniors for their postgraduate professional lives.
This year’s conference featured a keynote from Gabrielle Carteris ’83, president of SAG-AFTRA, which represents 160,000 actors and media professionals worldwide. Claire Rodman ’86, president of the Alumni Association Board, moderated a panel of alumni representing different fields including visual arts, law, film, journalism, and public education, among others. After the panel, seniors had the opportunity to network and have in-depth conversations at a luncheon featuring industry-specific roundtables hosted by alumni. We are so grateful to our alumni who made the trip back to campus to support seniors as they explore potential career paths. The day was an meaningful reminder that Sarah Lawrence students graduate into an accomplished and supportive network of alumni.
