Career Services
Career Services collaborates with program directors to support graduate students in their career development and connect them to resources, opportunities, programs, and advice. Graduate students can make an appointment with a career adviser, attend Career Services’ programs and workshops, and access their online platforms for connecting with alumni and searching for jobs and internships.
The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion aspires to foster an inclusive community reflective of our diverse society in support of mutual respect, belonging, and holistic engagement. It offers workshops & events, supports student organizations & student-run spaces; advocates on behalf of community concerns & needs, and partners with various campus and community resources.
Disability Services
Sarah Lawrence is committed to providing individuals with disabilities equal access to its programs, services, and facilities in accordance with Section 504 of the Federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. The Office of Access and Disability Services works individually with students with disabilities to assure that they have equal access to the full range of opportunities at the College.
Esther Raushenbush Library
The Sarah Lawrence College Library provides extensive research support services, interlibrary loan services, and quiet study spaces. The library also offers thesis workshops in the late fall and early spring for all graduate students preparing to submit their thesis or capstone projects to the Digital Commons.
Health and Wellness
The Health & Wellness Center provides compassionate, confidential care for students’ medical and psychological health concerns. In addition to coverage for routine, preventative, and urgent care, the Health and Wellness Center offers educational programs on medical and psychological health issues and will provide referrals for long-term medical or psychological treatment when necessary.
International Student Adviser
Assistant Dean Todd Pettiford serves as the International Student Adviser and provides a range of support to the international graduate student population (non-US citizens, dual citizens, and US citizens from abroad) that includes assistance with on-campus jobs, US Social Security cards, loan forms and Curricular and Optional Practical Training.
Learning Commons
The Learning Commons is located on the ground floor of the Library and is committed to providing comprehensive and inclusive academic support services that meet the needs of our vibrant and diverse student body. The objective of the Learning Commons is to provide a wide range of helpful resources that will enable students to thrive within the college’s unique pedagogical structure. To this end the Learning Commons features a variety of resources including:
- Access to writing mentors and general writing support from the Writing Center
- Workshops on time management, study skills, active reading, mindfulness, and more
- Group study opportunities
- Quiet study space
