Volunteering
As essential as monetary gifts are, Sarah Lawrence is more vibrant and strong due to the gifts of time and talent that are offered by its alumnae/i, friends and parents. Many note their love of the College has led them to accept a volunteer role in some of the many different capacities ranging from manning a booth at Family Weekend to accepting the responsibility of Trustee. And we are indeed grateful for their uncountable contributions. If you are interested in joining us, check out some of our volunteer opportunities:
Become a Class Agent
The Fund for Sarah Lawrence is the lifeblood of the College, and our volunteers are the heart of the Fund. You know how important gifts to the College are—remind those in your class and ask them to give a gift as well! You can be the most compelling advocate for giving to SLC. Keep Sarah Lawrence financially strong and keep in touch with your classmates by becoming a class agent. Contact The Fund for Sarah Lawrence at (914) 395-2523.
Become a Reunion Class Volunteer
Reunion, usually held the first weekend of June, offers an opportunity to reconnect with classmates and the campus, especially for classes in their milestone Reunion years. Reunion 2010 is scheduled for June 3-6, and we will soon be kicking off our plans. Let us know if you'd like to volunteer to help your class Reunion committee by contacting either the Alumnae/i Office at (914) 395-2530 or The Fund for Sarah Lawrence at (914) 395-2523.
Volunteer as a Parent
Parents enjoy offering their time and talent to Sarah Lawrence, as a way to stay connected with their student, get the inside scoop about college life, and a way to say thanks to the faculty and staff at SLC. Learn more about how you can get involved at the Parents Site or contact Elise Schramm at (914) 395-2536.
